Stoves and Stoves Only

Snyder Corn Stove

Stoves Only is a website dedicated to problems of heating and doing it with all kind of stoves and fireplaces in particular. Heating your dwelling was an essential task in all times and in all cultures (unless you live near equator and then your essential task would be cooling your dwelling of course) and with all technologies we accumulated in centuries, the process of heating your dwelling whether it's a cave or a mansion is still pretty much the same: you burn some fuel and it produces some heat. How and what you're burning can be quite different though and the amount of heat produced as a result as well.

The Stoves Only website has all sort of materials related to heating: from comparison tables to hints and tips on how to start a fire in a coal stove, but more important, you will find current listings of stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, and other heat-producing devices listed on ebay. You find some reviews along with products and that can be of a good use as well. The Stoves only website have all items organised in categories and sub-categories and you can see descriptions of some of them below. If you scroll down, you will find some current listings for stoves only products.

Wood Stoves are still one of the most popular ways of heating your house; it may not be the cheapest way anymore as getting wood is becoming more challenging task, but as the price on fossil fuels is high at the sky and not getting back any time soon, it will be an optimal choice for some people.

Pellet Stoves first appeared in 70s and by the 80s got popular to a point that they could compete with wood and gas stoves. Pellet stoves are not cheapest to run and would come after coal and wood stoves price-wise, but they are more heat-output effective, providing up to 80% efficiency comparing to 60% for wood stoves and 75% for coal stoves, and more environment-friendly, producing less carbon dioxide.

Corn Stoves haven't been for a long time yet on the market of heating units, but proved themselves well worthy. Corn stoves, depending on your location, can be the most efficient cost-wise source of heat for your house. Moreover, they are environment-friendly as they provide clean burn, and the fuel (corn) is completely and quickly renewable unlike any other type of the burning fuel.

Gas Stoves are probably the most balanced source of heating, considering costs of running and time required for maintenance. Gas stoves provide nice heat output efficiency of around 80%, they're relatively environment-friendly (comparing to wood or coal stoves), and being not the most cost-wise effective, they're still cheaper than electric stoves (especially natural gas).

Electric Stoves are still probably most common heating units in city apartments. Electric stoves are the most convenient and least time-consuming means for heating your house. You wouldn't probably use it to heat a workshop or big country house, but for heating a room it would be just perfect. Electric stoves come nowadays in all kinds and shapes, including stand-along stoves, built-in fireplaces, plug-ins, and wall-mounted units.

Coal Stoves are still the most cost-effective means for heating your house. No doubt, coal stoves do require the most maintenance and not very environment-friendly, but considering that they're 1.5 times cheaper to run than a simple wood stove, 2 times cheaper than a gas stove and almost 3 times cheaper than an electric stove, you may find situations when pros of the coals stoves can easily outweigh their cons.

Beside of the products listed above, you will find the following items on the Stoves Only website: Cast Iron Stoves, Pot Belly Stoves, and Parts, Supplies, and Accessories for stoves, fireplaces and other heating products.
