Fuel Comparison Table?
There're several factors that usually are considered when selecting which type of stove you want to buy, but the price of fuel is quite often the decisive one. Comparing heat output of different types of stoves cannot be 100% accurate due to many factors, and the table below has the only purpose to give you an approximate idea.
Numbers in this table are calculated to produce 1,000,000 BTU; the number of units and the cost of units can vary of course from place to place and from model to model.
As you can see the cheapest type of fuel is coal (most maintenance and cleaning) and the dearest is electricity (least maintenance and no cleaning) and it goes the same for all other types – cleaner is dearer.
