Ashley Wood Stoves are high-quality reliable heating units with a long history started at the beginning of the last century. Ashley was first with the King stoves until both brands were purchased by Martin Hearth and Heating (Martin Industries). But Martin Industries went bankrupt later and some of the models and design ended up with the US Stove Company, which currently keep producing several lines of the Ashley wood stoves.

Ashley were very innovative and Ashley wood stoves were one of the first airtight thermostatically controlled stoves. This feature was a very important improvement to wood stoves as now they could easily burn overnight, which was not possible for earlier models where you had to add wood to keep up the fire burning. Ashley wood stoves can come in several designs, including free standing units, fireplace insert, and furnaces. Furnaces on the other hand are more suitable for heating larger spaces such as big garages and workshops and will produce heat output of over 100,000 BTUs.
